Proven Representation For Child Solicitation And Pornography Offenses

If you suspect that you are under investigation for the possession of child pornography or the online solicitation of a child, contact Sally Goodman Law in Dallas right away. These charges are often the result of high-tech sting operations conducted by law enforcement with fake websites that identify people who allegedly searched for pictures or who reached out to minors for sexual activities. The police can seize your computer and search your hard drives for any illegal material.

A conviction means you face possible jail time, sex offender registration, social stigma and the loss of your job.

An Experienced Texas State Bar Board-Certified Criminal Law Specialist

I am attorney Sally Goodman, a criminal law specialist, certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. This certification means that I have received ongoing training in state and federal criminal law and that I have made a public commitment to high-quality legal service.

Criminal defense attorneys like myself often come under criticism for our willingness to defend people charged with certain types of sex offenses. My response is straightforward: I believe you have the right to a vigorous defense, as guaranteed by our Constitution and I believe you are innocent until proven guilty under our system of criminal justice.

I will call on a network of case-specific experts, such as computer forensic investigators, to explain the weaknesses in a prosecutor's case. I pursue every avenue to vigorously defend my clients who have had their personal privacy invaded in violation of their constitutional freedoms.

Fight Back Against Child Pornography Accusations

Possession of child pornography can include photos, pictures or videos of a person who is under 18 years old engaging in sexual conduct. Law enforcement can charge a person with child pornography because of suspected possession, distribution, production and/or promotion of any material depicting minors engaging in sex. While child pornography is a third-degree felony, a person with a previous conviction for possession of child pornography can face first-degree or second-degree felony charges.

As your attorney, I will seek answers to many questions in your case, including:

  • How old is the person in the photos?
  • Who had access to the computer or hard drives?
  • Are there any signs of police entrapment?

What Is Online Solicitation Of A Minor?

In Texas, online solicitation of a minor can occur when a person who is over 17 years old uses the internet, email or text messages to ask a minor for sex. Even if a person did not actually meet with a minor in person, they can still face third-degree felony charges if they requested sexual activity, or if they sent sexual videos or photos. If the minor is under the age of 14 years old, the charges may be considered a second-degree felony.
